Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for more than 20 years. She's also a seasoned public speaking. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency the site which features video and posts on the representations of women in pop media. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian as well as an American feminist media critique. Feminist Frequency is a not-for profit website that focuses on the representation of women in pop stories of culture - was created and directed by Sarkeesian. She's determined to dismantle stereotypes of women as they appear in popular culture. Additionally she aims to create the awareness of harassment on social media targeted towards women as well as those who are marginalized. Sarkeesian is a graduate in the field of political and social thought from York University. As a public speaker, she is highly sought after and has been a speaker at TEDxWomenXOXO and the United Nations Broadband Working Group.
