Debbie Gibson established herself as an important pop singer by the end of 1980s. With time the new generation of artists were able to take over the music business but Debbie Gibson remained in the music business and following her love of music. Gibson was born in Long Island New York City on August 31, 1970. Her ethnic background includes Sicilian German, Italian and as well as a small portion of Russian. The Gibsons are the daughters of Diane and Joseph Gibson and she has three sisters. When she was a child she was a piano student in the class of Morton Estrin.
